Where will you live in Benalmadena?
Benalmadena Pueblo, Arroyo de la Miel, Benalmadena Costa, Torrquebrada, Torremuelle, Reserva del Higueron, La Capellania.
Benalmadena Pueblo is a picture postcard hillside village which overlooks the Mediterranean. Quaint, rambling, traditional, call it what you will, it represents what many people think Andalucia looks like. Once isolated on the mountainside, Benalmadena Pueblo has grown, taking in much of the bordering countryside. Traditional pueblo houses, apartments, townhouses and luxury villas are all available here.
Arroyo de la Miel is a newer version of Benalmadena Pueblo. There is still the old town, but on the whole Arroyo de la Miel started to expand after the Malaga to Fuengirola train line was established in the 1960’s. Now it is one of the largest towns in the area.
Benalmadena Costa is the long stretch of coastline which lies between Fuengirola and Torremolinos. This are includes Torrequebrada and Torremuelle. Although there are many hotels on the coast, Benalmadena Costa is a very popular places with local residents and overseas buyers.
La Capellania lies to the west of Benalmadena Pueblo and is maze of one way streets which weave between some lovely villas. Thanks to it’s location La Capellania boats some of the best views of the Costa del Sol.
Reserva del Higueron
Reserva del Higueron is almost a town unto itself. Nestled high on the mountainside overlooking the Mediterranean, the community boasts exquisite views of the coast and Africa. We remember selling the original townhouses at Reserva del Higueron, back in the 1990’s and thinking who would want to live here.
Wow were we wrong! It always had the views but it just seemed so far away. 30 years later and it has become one of the prime addresses for discerning families who do not fancy the Marbella lifestyle. There is excellent access to the beaches and you will be in Malaga within 20 minutes. The community offers a range of apartments, townhouses and exclusive villas across many price ranges.
